I love TedTalks videos and always lament the fact that I never seem to have time to watch them all. Just like I never have time to listen to podcasts, or watch the DVDs that my friends lend me. So on yet another night where I found myself in a youtube vortex, a search for Tanc Sade (who has not aged that well) somehow got me to the video below.
Sarah Kay is a poet, and judging from the video is wise beyond her 24 years. She’s eloquent, relatable and uses her talent to inspire and teach others how to find their own voice. I try not to watch or buy into too many inspirational quotes and speeches etc because a part of me thinks over indulging in them will somehow mean that over the long-term that they will lose their effect - and I will be even more of a cynic than I am now. Though, something tells me that this is a video that I’m going to return to time and time again -
